Golden shower tree seeds


Golden shower is a perennial ornamental plant.It is known for its climbing habit.It is bloomed mainly in early summer.Partial shade is good for it.Its flower are attractive to bees, butterflies and birds for sweet fragrant.

HOW TO GERMINATE GOLDEN SHOWER 

Use a flat  seedling tray on which deep will be 1 inches deep. Make sure you have plenty of holes in it for good water drainage. Take equal quantity of sand, soil and vermicompost. Then we will mix all three meterial into one container. Thereafter we will spreed our seeds on the mixture.

Step 1

Step 2
 As the seeds are  perfect in size then you can put the seeds over it by 1/3 after that cover the seeds with seedling mix only about 1 cm (one centimeter)


Step 3
 Take equal quantity of sand, soil and vermicompost. Then  mix all the three ingredients into one container.

Step 4
  Sprinkle diluted fungicide water (2gm in 1 liter water) after sowing the seeds.We have to careful about putting the seed because seeds will not to go deep inside the mixture.


 Step 5
 Thereafter  spreed the golden shower seeds on the mixture. If your seeds are so tiny then you can spreed water very lightly and carefully on the seed.Make sure that the water must be mixed with diluted fungicide powder.It is very important  notice to follow that the seeds will not to go very deep inside the mixture by speeding water on the seed, if it happen then the fertilization of the seeds are become difficult.


Step 6
 Cover tightly  plastic polythene wrap over the pot to promote soil moisture retention and place it in a dimly lit area of the house. Lift the plastic daily to check that the soil is moist. If not, lightly moisten it with a water-filled spray bottle before replacing the plastic. Expect germination within three to five days.

Step 7
Remove the plastic as soon as the seedlings emerge, and gradually move the pot to a brighter area over a two-week period so that at the end of that time they're acclimated to being in full sunlight. 

Step 6
Minimum  warm, above 60ºF (15.5ºC),is needed inside the container and it should be placed in sunny area.After that the whole thing should be covered with a poly bag and after 21 days later the plastic can be removed.

Step 7

Watering it regularly ;do not overwater. place the container in semi shaded place. Golden shower  needs a proper sunny area to germinate it.

Step 8

After 21 days it will raise many small leaf.Then dig the soil where the  plant will take proper sun and put the plant into it.

Paulownia Seed Germination Tips



Paulownia is the fastest growing tree in the world. A perfect ornamental plant, with gorgeous flowers. It may cover local or common needs for wood.



GERMINATION GUIDE

Use a flat seedling tray and its deep will be 10 centimetres, and fill seedling mediator within 3/4  of the rim with a sterile potting soil or sieved vermicompost. Fill the tray with diluted fungicide water (2gm in 1-litre water). Make sure you have plenty of holes in it for good water drainage. And  Allow the soil in the flat to absorb the water through the bottom drainage holes until the soil surface becomes moist.

Pinch or Crush the seeds gently and drop them into one section of the seedling tray.
Sow seeds on the soil surface apart 2 in. Press on the seeds lightly with your fingers so they are in full contact with the soil, and cover them with soil.Place the tray in direct sunlight in a room that stays between 60 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the seedling tray for 150 hours of sunlight to germinate it is recommended.
Moist again with diluted fungicide water ensure the soil surface it's evenly moist. Cover tightly plastic polythene wrap over the pot to promote soil moisture retention and place it in a 60 to 70 degree Fahrenheit location or in an artificial area of the house that receives indirect light to germinate. Lift the plastic after two days  to check that the soil is moist or not. If not, lightly moisten it with a water-filled spray bottle before replacing the plastic.

 The Paulownia plant usually sprouts within seven to 15 to 24  days.Remove the plastic as soon as the seedlings emerge, and gradually move the pot to a brighter area with six to eight hours of daily sunlight for a two-week period so that at the end of that time they're acclimated to being in full sunlight. Water the seedlings when the soil surface feels dry.



Transplant the Paulownia outdoors or in a new pot when they are about 8 weeks old and about 4 to 6 inches tall. Plant at them 8 to 14 inches apart on the ready ground with same depth were they growing at previously.

Pindo Palms



Pindo palm is known to be one of the hardiest palms, surviving temperatures in the upper teens without permanent damage. The adult foliage is usually a silvery green colour. When young it is just green. It is called jelly palm because jelly can be made of the fruit that surrounds the seeds, which are produced in abundance. Plant in full sun.

GERMINATION

1. Collect ripe palm seeds and peel the layer off the skin off. Then dust the seeds with fungicide
2. Store the seeds in sealed plastic bags at temperatures above 65°F for several weeks to over a year.
3. Soak the seeds in water for 1 to 7 days before planting. Change the water daily.
4. Mix 1/2 cup of bleach with five cups of water. Place the seeds in a strainer and pour the bleach mixture over them. The bleach will sterilize the outside of the seeds and prevent mould growth.
5. Fill a pot with high-quality potting soil. Plant the seeds so they are level with the soil surface. The seeds do not have to be completely covered to germinate. Germination containers should balance moisture retention and good drainage. A 1:1 by volume mixture of peat moss and perlite is widely used.
6. Put the pot in a warm area that stays between 70 and 100 degrees. The seeds should not be in sunlight as they are at risk for drying out.
7. Water the soil until it is damp to the touch. The soil must stay damp at all times throughout the germination process. It may take up to 100 days for the seeds to germinate.

Royal Paulownia Empress Tree

ROYAL PAULOWNIA EMPRESS TREE





Growing Instructions :

1 Place the empress tree seeds in the refrigerator for two weeks at a temperature of 39 degrees Fahrenheit. This speeds up germination. You can store these seeds for up to a year in the refrigerator.

2 Sow empress tree seeds thinly in a pot containing moist standard potting compost. The seeds require light exposure to germinate and will remain dormant if they are buried. Place the pot in a sunny location outdoors and keep the soil moist at all times. The seeds will germinate within 10 to 30 days at a temperature of 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

3 Keep the seedlings in bright sunlight as they develop. Repot them into individual pots as soon as they are large enough to handle. Fertilize repotted seedlings with liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength.

4 Harden off empress tree seedlings outdoors once they are eight to 12 weeks old. Use a sheltered, frost-free spot. 

5 Plant the empress tree seedlings on bare soil with no shade, preferably on a south-facing slope. Leave at least 4 feet between seedlings so that the growing plants do not shade each other. The seedlings will grow slowly during the first year, as all their energy goes into root development.



More Detail Instructions

No matter what climate you are in, do NOT place your fertilizer in your pot over winter. Instead, save your fertilizer for the springtime. Plant your tree after the last frost or when surrounding plants begin to bud out.

Watering
DO NOT OVER-WATER your Empress Tree . When the top 2 to 3 inches of the potting medium is dry, add water. Do not allow soil to stay soggy. Empress trees will not tolerate over watering when potted. As a rule, let the soil surrounding the plant dry out before watering. If your tree is wet upon arrival, skip the initial watering for two days. Do not let the roots stay saturated when potted. Drooping branches and shriveled, brown leaves are signs of both under and over watering. If under-watered, the leaves will become dry and brittle. If over-watered, the leaves will become black and begin to shrink. They will be soft, not brittle. If this happens, stop watering your tree until it revives. If too much damage has been done, it will grow a new trunk from the base and grow a new tree.

Planting Instructions
Dig up an area 1 to 3 feet deep and at least 1 to 3 feet in diameter. This will loosen the soil and remove grass. Grass will compete with your tree for the surrounding soil’s nutrients. For best results, mix in potting soil or soil conditioner, especially if planting in clay or poor soil.

After digging your hole, place the tree in the hole and spread the roots out evenly. Surround them with dirt so that no air pockets are present. You can gently press down on the dirt to remove any cavities. Water immediately after planting to get rid of any other air pockets.

In addition, you want to plant your tree so that the “root collar” is level with the ground (see Fig. 2). (The “root collar” is the height where the roots effectively become the stem of the tree. It is commonly seen as a line that is lighter bark on top, darker roots on bottom. This is the line where the soil initially came to when your seedling was grown.)

We recommend planting your new Empress Tree(s) at least 3 feet from sidewalks. Also, avoid planting your new tree(s) over septic systems. You need to plant at least 10 feet from building structures. Be sure to select a sunny area with free draining soil. Your new Empress tree(s) will not thrive in a spot that holds excess water. Avoid areas that stay soggy after heavy rains.

Important Summer Information:
If you are experiencing severe drought, avoid planting your tree(s) in the ground. It is suggested that you plant your tree in a 3-5 gallon, light-colored pot in the shade. Once the temperature drops or the drought breaks, you can transplant your tree to the area of your lawn that you want.

Spring Pruning:
Let your tree grow for one entire year. If your empress tree did not grow at least 4 feet before winter dormancy, we recommend that you cut it to the ground at the very start of spring (a process called coppicing). This may seem odd, but it will grow a very straight, beautiful tree. Your tree(s) will more than make up for the lost growth in the first few weeks. We have seen some Empress Trees grow as many as 20 feet in the first year after being cut back to the ground.

Don’t worry about being exact. This process (coppicing) can be done any time of year, though we recommend spring. The new stump will have several trunks coming up from it. Select the largest trunk and pinch the others off. This one will grow at a very rapid rate and will grow into a very straight tree.

Fertilizer:
Empress Trees love fertilizer. Organic fertilizer high in nitrogen works well. You can use Miracle Gro or a balanced tree fertilizer. You can fertilize twice a month in the growing season. Stop fertilizing before the tree goes back into dormancy. Additional fertilizing should only be done after the first year.

Weed Control:
Keep weeds and grass two to three feet away from the tree in the first year. Pull the weeds initially, and then you can use a growing mat or mulch. Do not spray Roundup® on a young tree, and be careful that wind does not blow chemical drift on the tree. During the first year, weeds and grass rob moisture away from young trees and can cut their growth rate in half.

Deer:
The Royal Empress Tree is not a desired food for deer. However, if nothing more appetizing is available, they have been known to eat the growth bud at the top of the stem. If you think this may be a problem, sprinkle some Deer Away® on the top of the tree until it grows 6 feet tall (beyond the reach of the deer).

Branch Pruning:
Large leaves grow in pairs up the tree (one on each side). Every few inches up the tree, you will see a new set. These should be left on the tree to maximize photosynthesis. These leaves will fall off later. Above each leaf on the tree’s stem, you will see a little bud growing. This is referred to as a “sucker.” It is a permanent branch trying to grow. Pinch these off until you get to the height where you want your first branches to grow. The higher you let your branches start, the higher your clearance will be under the branches (see Fig. 3).

Flowering Trees:
You should start seeing flowers blooming within the first or second year. You will see buds on the tree through the winter. Flowers will bloom at the very beginning of spring.

Insects and Disease:
The best defense is a healthy tree. Empress Trees are very hardy. Good soil, proper feeding, and correct watering are the keys to its prosperity. If worms bite holes in the leaves, you can sprinkle Sevin-10 Dust® on them. These little bites do not affect the tree since it is growing at such a fast rate and putting on so many new leaves.

Pets:
The tree is not poisonous. In fact, its leaves are fed to livestock as a high protein fodder.

Winter Dormancy:
During late fall and winter, your tree will go dormant. The leaves will fall off and the stem will turn brown. Nothing will be happening above ground, but the roots will continue to grow below, especially during nice days. This winter root growth will help accelerate growth when spring comes.

 GERMINATION OF RED CREPE MYRTLE

The CRAPE MYRTLE is considered to be the pride of the South, with their gorgeous blooms and lovely shade, a Southern summer without seeing a crepe myrtle tree in bloom is like having a Southerner without a Southern drawl. It just doesn’t happen and wouldn’t be the South without it.

Any gardener who has seen the beauty of crepe myrtles has probably wondered if they can grow one themselves. Unfortunately, only people who live in zone 6 or higher can grow crepe myrtles in the ground. But, for those Northern climate d people, it is possible to grow crepe myrtles in containers.
What to Grow Crepe Myrtles In?

The first thing to keep in mind when you are thinking of planting crepe myrtles in containers is that a full grown tree will need a rather large container.

Even dwarf varieties, such as “New Orleans” or “Pocomoke”, will get to be 2 – 3 feet tall at their mature height so you want to take this into account. Non-dwarf varieties of a crepe myrtle tree can grow to be 10 feet tall or taller.
Requirements for Crepe Myrtle Plants Grown in Containers

When grown in cooler climates, a crepe myrtle tree benefits from full sun and moderate watering. Once established, crepe myrtle plants are drought tolerant, but consistent watering will promote faster growth and better blooms. Your crepe myrtle tree will also need regular fertilizing in order to achieve healthy growth.

Container Crepe Myrtle Care in the Winter

When the weather starts to get cold, you will need to bring your container grown crepe myrtle plants indoors. Store them in a cool, dark place and water them once every 3 – 4 weeks. Do not fertilize them.

Your crepe myrtle tree will look as though it has died, but in fact, it has gone into dormancy, which is perfectly normal and necessary to the growth of the plant. Once the weather is warm again, take your crepe myrtle tree back outside and resume regular watering and fertilizing.

If you are planting crepe myrtles in containers, it likely means that your climate is probably too cold in the winter for crepe myrtle plants to survive. What a container allows you to do is bring a crepe myrtle tree in during the winter.

CLIMATE:
 Crape myrtles can be grown in hardiness zone 6-10, although in zone 6 they’re likely to die back to the ground in winter.
WATER:
Crape myrtles like humid climates. Once established, they can tolerate quite a bit of drought.
LIGHT:
 Crape myrtles flower best in full sun (at least six hours per day).
SOIL:
 Crape myrtles do well in most any kind of soil, as long as it’s well-drained. The ideal soil pH is neutral to slightly acidic.
FERTILIZER:
 Crape myrtles benefit from annual feeding with a general-purpose or high-nitrogen fertilizer, in early spring as soon as you see leaves. If you want to fertilize twice, do the second application about two months later. Slow-release fertilizer can help prevent rapid sucker growth that is vulnerable to diseases and insects. Take advantage of the toughness of these plants – too much fertilization can actually result in excessive leaf growth and fewer blooms!

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is important to remember that while planting crepe myrtles in containers allow them to survive the winter indoors, it does not mean that they are better able to survive the cold. As a matter of fact, being in a container outdoors raised their vulnerability to the cold. The container is not as well insulated as the ground. Just a few nights of freezing weather can kill a container grown crepe myrtle.

DEFINITION

The flowers are large, with four spreading scarlet or orange-red petals up to 8 cm long, and a fifth upright petal called the standard, which is slightly larger and spotted with yellow and white. What a midsummer knockout! American senna's tall stature and large panicles of bright golden yellow flowers shine in the bright sun. A herbaceous perennial, this wildflower is native to prairies, old-fields and open woodlands from Ontario south to Wisconsin, Tennessee and Georgia. Fall frosts kill the plant to the roots, but the dry stems and seed pods persist into the winter before collapsing and decaying providing some visual interest.
Rising from the warm soil in mid- to late-spring, America senna quickly grows to become a tall, upright plant with fine, compound leaves. The rich green leaves alternate in a whorl on the stems. Each leaf comprises numerous oblong leaflets. In mid- to late-summer, panicles of five-petaled yellow blossoms appear along the upper stems. Bees pollinate the flowers, resulting in the production of seed pods. Hummingbird visits are also possible. The short pods turn chocolate brown and persist into fall, adding visual colour and texture, though they can self-sow prolifically, so it may be wise to remove the pods before they shatter.
Easy-to-grow from seed, American senna is best grown in full sun in nearly any well-drained soil. It grows in average loam to moist sand with a neutral pH. Appreciating moist soil, it tolerates drought once established. Cut back dead stems in late fall to early winter. This senna is ideal for a tall mixed perennial border or in a meadow garden among purple coneflowers, wild bergamot and other prairie wildflowers. Over time, American senna creates a wider clump of many stems. The cloudless sulphur butterfly species lays its eggs on this perennial and the larvae consume it as their chief food source. Once heavily used in American perennial borders in the 19th century, it's rarely planted today.

GERMINATION GUIDE

Step 1
  Use a flat seedling tray and its deep will be 5 centimetres. Make sure you have plenty of holes in it for good water drainage.

Step 2
 As the seeds are  perfect in size then you can put the seeds over it by 1/3 after that cover the seeds with seedling mix only about 1 cm (one centimetre)

Step 3
 Take equal quantity of sand, soil and vermicompost. Then mix all the three ingredients into one container.

Step 4
  Sprinkle diluted fungicide water (2gm in 1-litre water) after sowing the seeds.We have to care about putting the seed because seeds will not go deep into the mixture.

 Step 5
 Thereafter spread the Senna seeds in the mixture. If your seeds are so tiny then you can spread water very lightly and carefully on the seed.Make sure that the water must be mixed with diluted fungicide powder.It is very important notice to follow that the seeds will not to go very deep inside the mixture by speeding water on the seed if it happens then the fertilization of the seeds become difficult.

Step 6
 Cover tightly plastic polythene wrap over the pot to promote soil moisture retention and place it in a dimly lit area of the house. Lift the plastic daily to check that the soil is moist. If not, lightly moisten it with a water-filled spray bottle before replacing the plastic. Expect germination within three to five days.

Step 7
Remove the plastic as soon as the seedlings emerge, and gradually move the pot to a brighter area over a two-week period so that at the end of that time they're acclimated to being in full sunlight.

Step 8
Minimum warm, above 60ºF (15.5ºC), is needed inside the container and it should be placed in the sunny area.After that, the whole thing should be covered with a poly bag and after 21 days later the plastic can be removed.

Step 9
 Watering can be done according to its requirement. Place the container in a semi shaded place. Senna needs a proper sunny area to germinate.

A fast growing tree from South America, eventually growing to a height of around 40 feet (12 m) within the ground, although staying much smaller if grown within a pot.

Deciduous, lacy, fern-like foliage composed of bright-green leaflets – very attractive even when not in flower or in leaf. The leaves, as the name suggests, resemble those of a mimosa

Product Description:

Jacaranda mimosifolia, the Blue Jacaranda, is native of South America, especially found in Brazil. This handsome tree grows in tropical low altitude flatlands. It can reach 30 meters high at its full potential, but it’s usually more around 20 meter.

Blooming season is in summer. The whole tree is covered with large and delicate grapes of magnificent lavender blue flowers. The flowers are slightly odorant. The foliage is semi-persistent, made up of feather-like leaves finely cutted, that give a hint of elegance to the tree. The fruit is a flat pouch, about 7 cm wide and brownish yellow. The trunk is large, grey and not very tall.

Hardiness zones 9-10 (-5ºC/25ºF, 1ºC/35ºF) in winter. Temperatures under -5ºC are a threat to its life. The Blue Jacaranda is not very resistant to large temperature changes. It is preferably grown in a veranda or a glasshouse with a temperature above 3ºC.

The Blue Jacaranda needs a fresh and rich soil in order to stay healthy. It needs good lighting, preferably under a full sun. If grown indoors or in a glasshouse, it can be brought outside only during summer. The tree should be protected from the wind. Its root system is extensive and can make the cultivation of smaller plants under it difficult.

Germination 

Use any good garden soil that does not contain a high level of salt and mix with humus and sand (1/3,1/3,1/3). Plant seeds at ½ inch deep. During summer, water your plant when the soil starts to dry out. In winter, water when the soil has been dry for a day or two. Give plenty of light to your plant to accelerate germination. It could take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks before germination happens. Don’t get discouraged.
