Bramhi: Herbal plant, Description, Growing tips & Its uses


                                  Brahmi Plant
Brahmi a low growing, creeping herb that reaches a maximum of about 6-10 inches in height and grows outward. If left to its own devices, it can spread rapidly.Brahmi has soft, hairy stems and bright green, oval, succulent leaves 1-2 cm long. Its flowers are small and white with yellow centers. It is completely edible and is very popular as a medicine when it is steeped into a tea, mixed with oil or worked into a paste.

Brahmi plant care is pretty easy and forgiving.

Growing Tips:

It grows in variety of soils. It can even tolerate poor drainage system. It gives best result in alluvial marshy soil. It can be grown in marshy areas, canals and several water bodies. It requires acidic soil for its good growth.

For Brahmi plantation, it required well pulverize and levelled soil. To bring soil to fine tilth, ploughing and harrowing is to be done. Irrigation is done immediately when land is converted to plots.


Uses:
  • Brahmi has amazing ability to increase the hair thickness and hair growth. 
  • Brahmi is used for improving memory, anxiety, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, allergic conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, and as a general tonic to fight stress. 
  • People also take brahmi to treat backache, hoarseness, mental illness, epilepsy, joint pain, and sexual performance problems in both men and women. It is also sometimes used as a “water pill.”
