Zinnia: Description and Growing


                                     Zinnia
This is the standard mixture of solid color blooms, growing upto three feet tall. They're great for all wildflowers, and just as good in more formal gardens. They're super-easy from seed, started indoors or out. With these, bouquets can be decorated very well. Best of all, they are a monarch butterfly magnet. They'll give you every color but blue, and they bloom all season. This can be found all over world. In India it is planted mostly in winter.

How to grow them: 
 
Zinnias are some of the easiest wildflowers to grow, adding their bright, cheerful color to any sunny spot.
Full sun is ideal for Zinnia seeds, some hybrids will even bloom in partial shade.The soil should not be wet and should be warm.
Zinnia seeds are perfect for starting indoors to have bloom early. There about 20 species of Zinnia in the wild, all in the arid, rocky soils of North, Central and South America, most common in Mexico. Zinnias are one of our most heavily-hybridized wildflowers.
